England Entertains:
Churchill's England (Kent, London & Oxfordshire)
Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill is the starting point for this two night short break. You will see where on the 30th November 1874 he was born; it was also at Blenheim that in the summer of 1908 Mr Winston Churchill, as he was then, proposed to Miss Clementine Hozier who was to become his devoted wife.
We've also included visits to Chartwell House, his family home, with its magnificent views over the Weald of Kent to Sussex, it was much loved and a source of great inspiration to him until the end of his life. Finally we've included a visit to the Cabinet War Rooms in London where in February 2005 a new exhibition opened to commemorate the life of Sir Winston Churchill
