Floral Fiesta

This three night short break incorporates visits to four superb gardens that are guaranteed to leave you feeling inspired. The first of the four is Barnsdale Gardens familiar to millions of BBC2 viewers as the home of Geoff Hamilton and Gardeners' World, it is made up of 37 individual gardens that all blend together by linking borders into one 8 acre garden and gives a wealth of practical ideas for any garden. This is followed by a visit to Belvoir Castle, home of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland which has an enchanting Rose Garden and a hidden Spring Garden, and of course the Castle itself.

Sunday incorporates two more gardens, starting with the Easton Walled Garden, an amazing revival of a 400 year old garden, which started in 2000 and as it progresses uncovers many hidden gems! From here it's on to Grimsthorpe Castle, with its Yew hedges and topiary squares that sit alongside herbaceous borders.
