Suggested Itinerary for Devonshire delights & Cornish classics

Day 1 - Travel to hotel, the base for this short break.

Day 2 - Plymouth
As the regional capital of Devon and Cornwall, Plymouth is an extraordinary blend of vibrant modern city and historic seafaring port with a wide range of attractions to enjoy. There’s the Plymouth Dome, which is located on Plymouth Hoe and has a wide range of atmospheric reconstructions demonstrating the history of the city. Alternatively, there’s Plymouth Gin! Where you can take a tour of the Black Friars Distillery gaining fascinating insights into the history of gin with an opportunity to sample some for yourself!

Day 3 - Mount Egdcumbe & Polperro
The former home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe is set in Grade I Cornish Gardens within an 865 acre Country Park on the Rame Peninsula in South East Cornwall, just across the water from Plymouth and accessible via the Torpoint Ferry (not included) Mount Edgcumbe was restored after World WarTwo and has become one of the regions most popular historic tourist destinations.
From here you make the short journey on to the picture book fishing village of Polperro with its narrow, winding streets and cottages perched on steep slopes overlooking the tiny harbour. It also has an interesting mix of shops, restaurants and pubs.

Day 4 - Torquay
A place to relax, to soak up the atmosphere, to take in the scenery, the parks and the gardens and to enjoy the experience of being in the centre of the English Riviera. The waterfront is the focus of life in the town and it’s here you'll find the palm-lined promenade, seafront gardens, lively harbour and an international marina.

Day 5 - Depart hotel for the return journey home.
