Suggested Itinerary for Pride & Prejudice

Day 1 - Travel to hotel, the base for this short break.

Day 2 - Burghley House & Stamford
Leave the hotel after breakfast and make your way to Burghley House, where both the interior and exterior were used in the film as 'Rosings' the imposing home of Lady Catherine De Bourg, the daunting dowager aunt of Darcy and patron of Mr Collins. From here its on to Stamford, one of the finest Georgian stone towns in England, Stamford was used as the village of Meryton, home to the films heroine Elizabeth Bennet.

Day 3 - Haddon Hall & Red House Stables
Haddon Hall is the first point of call today, the family home of the Manners family for over 800 years it was the banqueting hall with a tapestry belonging to King Henry VIII that was transformed into the Inn at Lambton for the movie, with the dining hall becoming Elizabeth's bedroom. The final visit for the day is the Red House Stables, a working carriage museum that supplied the carriages for the film.

Day 4 - Depart for the return journey home.
