Alton Towers, Trentham Gardens & Wedgwood

The Monkey Forest

Its an exciting walk amongst 140 free roaming Barbary Macaques, where you're free to discover this amazing species as they exhibit their natural behaviour with no bars or cages to hinder your view -- it's a safe place for the monkeys to live and provides acres of space for them to develop in complete freedom
The Italian Garden An idyllic garden where the statue of Perseus stands at the foot of the Lower Flower Garden framed by the mile long lake, the panoramic views are breathtaking.

The Village

A selection of the finest specialist outlets, with goods which range from luxury home-ware to distinctive arts and crafts in the specially constructed shopping village by the entrance to the gardens.

The Trentham Garden Centre

A huge range of indoor and outdoor living products in addition to the more traditional plants and gardening products. The stunning interior has taken its inspiration from the adjacent Italian Garden, and complements the selection of original and innovative home and garden products.

The Woodland

There's over 400 acres of Woodland to enjoy, specially designed walks to challenge the biggest walking enthusiast and those who just want to take it easy and enjoy the views. Nature lovers are in for a real treat - a herd of Black Fallow Deer grazes on the deer lawn, the lake is home to Herons, Kingfishers and Otters, and the woodlands are a haven for wildlife and flowers.

The Lake

A mile long tranquil lake designed by Capability Brown is at the heart of Trentham, you can take a trip on the 42-seat electrically driven ecologically friendly catamaran Miss Elisabeth (trips daily from 10.00am) or for the more energetic there are rowing boats, which you can hire by the hour.

The Railway

All aboard! Trentham has its own miniature railway -- you can sit astride the 'Trentham Fern' and chug along the side of the lake and back. An experience not to be missed!

We recommend a full day at Trentham as part of the Plants and Potteries weekend where we include entry to both the Gardens and Monkey Forest. For the Theme Park weekend we have included the Monkey Forest.
