Suggested Itinerary for Hamburg, Berlin, Prague, Dresden and Bremen

Day 1 - Check in to DFDS
Your ship departs Newcastle at 1730hrs. Relax as you cross to Amsterdam and enjoy the great range of entertainment on board.

Day 2 - Hamburg
Disembark late morning / lunchtime and drive to your hotel in Hamburg. Discover the sights, such as the Alster Lake, surrounded by historical buildings. This is Germany’s greenest city, with parks and tree-lined boulevards that lead you to the huge shopping and restaurant areas.

Day 3 - Berlin
After breakfast drive across Northern Germany, arriving in Berlin early evening.

Day 4 - Berlin
You have a full day in Berlin today and we have included both a walking tour and a boat cruise, enabling you to see most of the city's attractions, such as the impressive 'Reichstag', Germany's parliament building and the Brandenburg Gate, entrance to the Unter den Linden, having resumed its pre-war role as the city's main bustling thoroughfare.

Day 5 - Prague
Depart Berlin this morning and travel to the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague this afternoon. The rest of the day and evening is at leisure to enjoy your new surroundings.

Day 6 - Prague
Enjoy a full day at leisure today in this fairytale city, which hosts arguably some of the most beautiful buildings in the world. Sights include the Prague Castle and the Royal Palace and of course the ornate
St Charles Bridge.

Day 7 - Prague
There is plenty in this city to entertain visitors for a further day, so we would recommend a second leisure day. Perhaps take a lunch cruise down the Elbe River. Alternatively drive to the spa town of Kutna Hora, formerly one of the most important cities of Eastern Europe, now a UNESCO listed site.

Day 8 - Dresden
Depart Prague this morning, arriving at your hotel in Dresden this afternoon, when there will be time to relax and enjoy your new surroundings.

Day 9 - Dresden
This morning a guide will accompany the coach on a city tour when you will learn about the city’s fascinating past and present. The tour will finish in the beautiful old quarter and the afternoon is free to wander Dresden at your leisure.

Day 10 - Bremen
Depart Dresden this morning, arriving in Bremen late afternoon. Check in to your overnight accommodation in the early evening.

Day 11 - Bremen & Check in to DFDS
This morning is at leisure in Bremen. Its highlight is the medieval Chnoor Quarter in the city centre, formerly home to artisans and traders back in the 12th century and now home to cosy pubs and exclusive boutiques. Late morning head to Amsterdam for your return overnight sailing.

Day 12 - Disembark the ship at around 0900hrs and continue homeward.
