Suggested Itinerary for Castles and Gardens of Ireland

Day 1 - Travel via short sea crossing to Ireland for an overnight stop in the Dublin area.

Day 2 - Donegal Bay
Depart the hotel after breakfast and make your way cross country to Donegal stopping en-route for refreshments. You will then have the afternoon free in Donegal before a waterbus tour of Donegal Bay, where tide permitting you will get the chance to see the colony of seals that live in the Bay along with some spectacular scenery.

Day 3 - Killibegs & Glencolumcille
A full days excursion starting with a trip along Donegal Bay to Killibegs – Irelands biggest fishing Port, travelling on through the breathtaking scenery of the Slieve League Peninsula with some of the highest Sea cliffs in Europe and on to the village of Glencolumcille and the folk village showing the different periods of Irish life.

Day 4 - Glenveagh
Another full days sightseeing today, which is based around a visit to Glenveagh National Park & Gardens, where you visit the Castle and gardens of Glenveagh. Very much a home, the last private owner was a Mr Henry Mcilhenny of Philadelphia who purchased the estate in 1937 making it his home until 1981.

Day 5 - Belleek Pottery & Bundoran
Today you travel south of Donegal Town for a visit to Belleek Pottery and a tour of the factory responsible for producing this famous giftware. From here you continue on to Bundoran, located on Donegal Bay where the mighty Atlantic Ocean rolls onto the Blue Flag Beach and is surrounded by the impressive Ben Bulben Mountains. Bundoran enjoys a stunning location, matched only by the warmth of the legendary Bundoran welcome.

Day 6 - Dublin
Depart Donegal for the return journey to Dublin with some free time for a spot of sightseeing & overnight in the Dublin area.

Day 7 - Return journey home.
