Evita at the Adelphi Theatre
Eva Peron used her beauty and charisma to rise meteorically from the
slums of Argentina to the
presidential mansion as First Lady. She won international acclaim and
adoration from her own people as
a champion of the poor whilst glamour, power and greed made her the world's
first major political
celebrity.
With its multi award winning production team and hot new orchestrations
EVITA tells her passionate
and tragic story through Andrew Lloyd Webber's most dazzling score and
Tim Rice's most famous lyrics.
EVITA originally ran in London for 7 Years and won the Olivier award
for Musical of the Year and 7
Tony Awards on Broadway.
Songs include: Don't Cry For Me Argentina, Another Suitcase In Another
Hall, High Flying Adored,
Oh What A Circus together with the Oscar winning song from the film,
You Must Love Me.
Dirty Dancing at the
Aldwych Theatre
That was the summer of 1963, when everybody called me
baby and it didn’t occur to me to mind. That was before
President Kennedy got shot, before the Beatles came, when
I couldn’t wait to join the Peace Corps and I thought Id
never find a guy as great as my dad. That was the summer
we went to Kellermans.
Experience the excitement and
romance of the blockbuster film, live
on stage. Featuring the hit songs from
the best selling movie soundtrack of
all time including Time of My Life,
Hungry Eyes, Hey Baby and Do You
Love Me, First dance. First love.
You’ll have the time of your life.
Wicked at the Apollo Victoria
Wicked, the spell-binding and spectacular hit musical, is the untold
story of the
legendary witches from L. Frank Baum’s classic, The Wonderful Wizard
of Oz.
Long before Dorothy dropped in, two other girls meet in the Land of Oz.
One,
born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The
other is
beautiful, ambitious and very popular. How these two unlikely friends
end up as
the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch makes for the
most
spellbinding new musical in years.
WICKED, the untold story of the witches of Oz, features music and lyrics
by
Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Pippin) and is based on the best-selling
novel by
Gregory Maguire.
Recommended age for children is 8 and over and no children under 4 will
be admitted.
The Sound of Music at the London Palladium
The Sound of Music was one of the best-known musicals by Rodgers and
Hammerstein,
whose other collaborations included The King and I, Oklahoma and South
Pacific. Based on the 1949 book The Von Trapp Family Singers, written
by Maria Von Trapp about her real-life experiences as a trainee nun who
falls in love with a widowed naval captain and his children in pre-war
Austria, The Sound of Music opened in 1959 on Broadway, where it ran
for 1,443 performances and won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
