Alternatively make the short trip into the village of Tullow. In the afternoon we have arranged a visit to Altamont Gardens, a beautiful old world garden with a strong emphasis on the informal tradition of combining good plants within the natural landscape environment.

Day 3 - Dunbrody Emigrant Ship & Waterford Crystal Factory
A full days excursion, which starts with a visit to Dunbrody Historic Emigrant Ship, where you experience the sights, smells and sounds of this wooden sailing ship whilst hearing from the passengers what life was really like for those wanting to start a new life in the United States. From here you continue on to Waterford and a tour of the Waterford Crystal factory, where you will see for yourself the skill and patience required to produce each and every piece, it takes an apprenticeship of some 30 years to become an engraver!

Day 4 - Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens
Another highlight of this tour is a visit to the Irish National Stud with a guided tour of the stud, where during the months of February, March, April & May foals can often be seen in the paddocks. In addition to the stud there is also the Japanese Gardens, designed to take you on a journey through life! In addition, the National Stud created St. Fiachra’s garden in 1999 to commemorate the patron saint of gardeners Saint Fiachra and seeks to capture the power of the Irish landscape in it's rawest state... that of rock and water.
